Welcome to user groups at The Escapist! Groups are a way for users to collect around a particular topic in a way that our forums do not directly support. A user group on a topic also grants moderation powers to their owners and administrators, maintains its own member list and news area, and has a few other toys.

Try searching the groups below for things you find interesting - if you don't find what you're looking for, you can always create your own. Go ahead and join as many as you'd like, and feel free to leave any suggestions for us in the Tech Team group.

There are some things you need to keep in mind before creating your User Group. First, please make sure you and your members know that the same posting guidelines are maintained in the user groups as well as the forums. For a list of our guidelines, please look here.

As the group owner, it is your job to act as the moderator for your user group. Again, the same rules on our forums are the same rules in user groups. You are allowed to make certain members Administrators, who will be able to moderate the user group and keep things friendly. If The Escapist finds your user group or discussion to violate any of The Escapist policies or rules, you and the members of your group will be held accountable.
